Review : Revlon Colorstay Combination/Oily Skin Foundation

Revlon Colorstay Foundation_-16

Flawless skin is the ultimate goal ,right? I for one can tell you it’s been mine. It starts with how you take care of your skin obviously but Foundation is always a plus. The Revlon Colorstay Foundation was one of my very first buys as far as foundations. If I’m being honest I can’t even remember why I stopped using it, maybe it’s because I didn’t understand my skin or maybe there was something wrong with the old formula which they have since changed.

There’s something just great about having a good foundation, I am obsessed with foundation and if you ask me what my favourite type of makeup then the answer will be a tie between lipstick and foundation.

I bought the Revlon Colorstay Foundation about a month ago and I love this foundation. The Revlon Colorstay Foundation is amazing, this baby’s the lightest in that it feels the least viscous and offers the sheerest coverage. This is going to sound crazy but, the coverage isn’t ‘sheer’ or ‘light’, you’re guaranteed medium-full coverage without it being cakey. The foundation is light on the skin, being an oily-skinned girl, this foundation provides a mattifying finish and what makes it even greater is I found the perfect shade for my complexion.

The secret to flawless-looking makeup (you know the way Bonang looks in those ads) is  finding the perfect foundation for your skin tone and skin type. If you have oily skin likeI do then a foundation with a mattifying finish that controls oil with drying our your skin will be the jack port.

Review: The Revlon Colorstay Foundation has surpassed some of my other drug store foundations, in all honesty, it’s amongst my tops 3. My perfect shade is 014 Bronze and the foundation has an SPF 15. This liquid foundation wears for 24hours, I don’t know why anyone would need to have foundation on for that long but I guess it’s their way of promising that this foundation is long lasting and I agree. This foundation will last about 8hours or way longer on your skin. The texture isn’t too runny which makes the application using a sponge so easy. TIP for easy and even application dampen your beauty sponge in water then follow my press the foundation into our skin. A beauty sponge will allow for great coverage and an even layer.

The lightweight texture and feel of the foundation make it comfortable to wear. It isn’t just making you look beautiful and put together the foundation also contains salicylic acid to balance skin over time. The packaging has changed, they have finally added a pump to their foundation making it effortless ( I feel like I should have waited for the pump but we all know I’m so obsessed with makeup I’ll be buying the pump foundation this month-end without a doubt.)

and now to conclude I would give this foundation ♥♥♥♥½, as far as drugstore products you get bang for your buck with the  Revlon Colorstay Foundation

I just purchased this foundation on Tuesday as I ran out of my ride or die L’Oréal infallible matt foundation. I love how it feels on my skin..BUT when I used it, way too pink on my skin. I added bronzer…an even bigger disaster.

I’m going to try to colour correct with green mixed in or maybe try the Body Shops darkening drops. If the actual foundation has pink undertones and I’m yellow…I’m hopeful I can find a use for it. Any advice?

Thank you dear for sharing this. I have been using MAC liquid foundation but with my oily skin yho it was always disaster so now was researching on foundations that can match my skin type. Will surely buy it and have that gorgeous look as you.
