On The Beauty Desk

On The Beauty Desk is focused on bringing you the latest products popping up on the beauty market. In some cases, however, I will be sharing products that I am only getting around to trying. It’s an opportunity to drop by and let me know what you’d like me to test and try out.

Nothing grates my tits more than spending my coint on products that don’t deliver on their promises. A lot of tears, overcoming doubt, stress and hard work earn me my pretty little, and I mean little, pennies. I want to get all the bang for my buck. I hope as a continue with this series you will get as much info on products as you need before you make your purchasing decisions.

The “On The Beauty Desk” series will be followed by a series of blog posts reviewing and answering any questions you might have on products featured. Anything at all, the when, the why and the how of products.

In today’s feature, we have the Mixa, Swiitch Beauty, Mineraline and Sorbet Pedicare products to discuss so grab your cup of coffee and let’s get into it.

Mixa Sensitive Skin Experts

On The Beauty Desk - Mixa Sensitive Skin Experts

The first brand on the beauty desk this week is MIXA. Mixa was originally created through the science of mixing traditional apothecary ingredients, #MixaSouthAfrica.  If this is your first time hearing about this product don’t worry it’s not just you.  Mixa is an innovative skincare brand that recently launched in South Africa & focuses on providing specialist solutions for sensitive skin.

Mixa has been making skincare products for sensitive skin since 1924. With products inspired by apothecary ingredients such as coriander, panthenol, vitamin E & Allantoin Mixa is a brand worth looking into.

Have you used Mixa products before? D you suffer from any skin ailments that you hope the brand will help you with?

Mineraline Enriched With Dead Sea Minerals

On The Beauty Desk - Mineraline South Africa

I do not try anything and everything on my face. Besides being a major hypochondriac, I am extremely paranoid about getting back to my bad skin days. A lot of work and discipline went into clearing my skin and every time skin care products drop on the beauty desk I get very panicky.

I always want to try out new products and come on here and share the results. At the same time, I’m always worried about fucking shit up. I mean, if it ain’t broke – don’t fix it right?!

The above is very difficult considering my profession of choice. I make it a point to always try out products that do not sensitise my skin and have been made with sensitive skin in mind.

The Mineraline products are enriched with dead sea minerals and if you’re reading this and wondering what the heck that means – I got you!!

Mineraline South Africa

Dead Sea minerals? The dead sea is well known for its high salt content.  The Dead Sea actually contains 21 minerals including magnesium, calcium, sulfur, bromide, iodine, sodium, zinc and potassium. Dead Sea Salt has been proven to relieve skin ailments such as acne, eczema and psoriasis. Minerals mentioned above enhance your skins ability to retain moisture, making it healthy and silky smooth.

With this bit of information, I am sure you are just as hooked as I was when I found out.

I can’t wait to share how well the mud face mask, vitaserum and deep cleansing gel have been working on my skin.

Have you tried any of the mineraline products?

Swiitch Beauty

On The Beauty Desk - Swiitch Beauty

First things first Swiitch Beauty thinks I look cute today. I am guessing though that they haven’t seen my little afro braids. The Swiitch Beauty team are, “South African babes who believe in creating high quality, affordable, cruelty-free essential products that actually do what they say they’re going to do”, women after my own heart.

On The Beauty Desk, today are swiitch beauty’s latest launches. The Swiitch beauty babes recently launched a #MatteBounce translucent, no-colour powder that promises to blur your pores, set your makeup, remove unwanted shine & ensure that your looks stay put all day! – all without leaving that chalky powdery look

In addition to the #mattebounce powder, the swiitch beauty team also added #PrimeTimeKit. The Prime Time Kit is made up of a gel exfoliator and a priming balm.

Sorbet Pedicare

On The Beauty Desk - Sorbet Pedicare

Taking care of your feet is a must. I mean it. No more ashy, cracking feet. Considering I just made a bold statement about taking care of your feet what about to follow will have you rolling your eyes at me.

Who has time to be scrubbing their feet on a daily? I would rather go to some cute little spar to get someone to do it for me. At the same time, my budget is way too thin for that. Which is why I have decided to add foot care to the beauty desk.

Evey girl needs a pamper session regardless of her budget. What makes it better is knowing which products will make it easier and less stressful a chore.

With that folks, these are all the products on the beauty desk. Subscribe to my channel for that when I review these products they come straight to your inbox.

Don’t forget to leave a comment, a question or just a smile. Share this blog post with your family and friends I appreciate it.

So far so good. Their deep cleansing gel causes this tingling sensation on my skin that really freaked me out the first time I tried the gel. I really want to try out more of their products.
