Taking Stock One: Mum’s Birthday.

Hey NKB Family

OMW, its been such a long time since I’ve had the chance to sit down and blog. I had exams earlier this year and I had to really study for those then now I’m waiting for my results and having that hanging over my head is just a lot.

Been feeling like I can not move on with 2016 till I know whats happening with my academic life but after spending the day with my Mummy, seeing her live her life, laugh and be grateful, it hit me she 40 something, she’s had her hardships, failures and she’s still here, laughing, prospering and loving her life, surely then I can do the same. No matter what I can move on with life, no matter what there is a bright, happy future for me!!!

This is a new series on the blog, I’ve been reading THIS IS ESS‘s blog and I think she is without a doubt one of the most amazing African Bloggers out there. Saw this template on her blog and thought it would be interesting to include every now and then on here. I think it’s a great way to pause and really live in the moment.

I’ll be sharing about what I am: Making, Cooking, Drinking, Reading, Wanting, Playing, Wasting, Wishing, Enjoying, Liking, Wondering, Loving, Hoping, Marveling, Needing ,Smelling ,Wearing, Following, Noticing, Knowing, Thinking, Feeling, Bookmarking, Opening, Giggling

Today’s post however is going to be different, I am taking time to be grateful for the time I spent with my mum yesterday and also for being blessed enough that I got to see my mum add another year to her life. Its something we take for granted sometimes but its a beautiful thing.

Whenever I am asked about love I think of my mother and brother. She means the world to me. She is smart, loving, forgiving, caring, nurturing and if I carry on with this list you’ll think i’m just writing down random adjectives but I am being for real.

She is my Angel. Here are a couple of pictures of our day spent celebrating his wonderful woman. We went to the spar for some needed down time

I hope everything works out with your exams, I had definitely missed your blog.
We should take the time to be thankful for all that we have in life.
