EASTER BRUNCH MENU IDEAS

I am never really excited about the Easter weekend because I always spend it alone, this weekend is different though because…… DRUM ROLL PLEASE….. My Mummy is coming to town!!!!

In the past 6 years I haven’t spent a single Easter weekend with my family and it sucks, we don’t really do anything special, we will probably be at home sleeping but there is just something about being with family and I am stoked about it.

So stoked that I’ve been planning the meals we will be having during the weekend. I thought we would eat out but I settled on having a brunch then a late braai and since I can’t exactly marinade the meat a couple of days in advance and take pictures I figured we could stuff our faces with delicious wraps then I’ll invite my other family (my friends) over to meet my mum.

I made myself a chicken wrap for Lunch just so  could share this idea with you all, I have to admit though, being a foodie myself I couldn’t resist the urge to stuff my face this afternoon. In addition I am going to share a couple of other items I believe deserve to be on a brunch menu. I have to warn you though, if you make all the things on my Easter menu, you wont be able to eat anything else all day.

I woke up today and my sweet tooth is on the fritz so I added two more sweet dishes.

EASTER BRUNCH CHICKEN WRAP

For the Chicken Wrap you will need

♥ Chicken

♥ Lettuce

♥ Cucumber

♥ Tomato

♥ Garlic Sauce (I used the store-bought kind coz ain’t no body’s got time to be making their own)

♥ Bell Peppers

♥ Mayonnaise

♥ Tortillas (of course)

♥ Spices (Lemon Pepper, Black Pepper, White Pepper)

♥ Brown Sugar

♥ Lemon Juice

I cut my Chicken breasts in strips and fried the chicken with some lemon pepper, black pepper, white pepper, lemon, some brown sugar for some sweetness and lemon juice

EASTER BRUNCH FRENCH TOAST

This is the easiest thing to eat and it tastes great, I am sure you are all thinking this is salty. Well, nope!!!! Its sweet, if your sweet tooth is on the fritz and you want to indulge fist in the morning then I suggest this amazing FRENCH TOAST ! I got this brilliant idea whilst watching THISISESS‘s channel so I had to try it.

All you need for a mouthful of this deliciousness is

♥ Whole Wheat Bread

♥  1/2 Eggs

♥ Milk (Just a dash)

♥ Sugar

♥ Cinnamon

♥ Garnish of your choice, you can choose fruit or chocolate or sprinkle some castor sugar for added sweetness

If this isn’t the recipe for french toast that you are used to then I am glad I’ve shared this, it’s going to change your life. to make two slices of the sweet deliciousness I used 1 egg, a dash of milk, 3 teaspoons brown sugar, half a teaspoon of cinnamon and you can cozy up and enjoy a chilled Good Friday

EASTER BRUNCH BLUEBERRY PANCAKES

I am sure at some point in your life you’ve made pancakes or at least attempted to, if you’ve never though don’t worry about it, I’ve got you !!!!

♥ Flour

♥ Baking Powder

♥ Salt

♥ Sugar

♥ Milk

♥ Egg

♥ Butter

♥ Blueberries, syrup

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth. Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the non-stick pan , using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake.

I hope you have a blessed weekend, enjoy your Good Friday and lets take a moment to remember what this weekend is about.
May God bless you and yours wherever you are and however you are spending this weekend.

♥ Love
