Review – Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Foundation

Afternoon my beauty lovers,

Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin 24HR Foundation

I have been looking to buy a high-end foundation for the longest time, sow hen the opportunity presented itself I bought myself the Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin 24HR Foundation. I believe every girl needs to save up just so they can own at least one “non-drugstore” foundation. One of the few items I wanted to make sure I got myself for graduation where high-end makeup products. I was excited about dressing up and prettying up for my 5 sec of fame.

Have you ever wondered whether the price tags on these products matches the products quality? I have just the answers for you today.

I know from their perfumes that Elizabeth Arden makes good quality products however I had never tried any of their makeup or skin care products. I wasn’t too sure what to expect but the lady at their Edgars Walmer Park stand was just sweet. She explained the products in great detail and even convinced my mum to purchase a moisturizer.

Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin Foundation comes is 10 shades that are meant to cater for light, medium and deep skin tones. I am in the shade 18 chestnut. Elizabeth Arden Promises that their

“Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin 24 HR Makeup Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 15 is a lightweight, velvety formula with medium to full coverage that blends effortlessly into skin, perfecting tone for naturally flawless coverage that stays put for 24 hours*

Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin Foundation (R365) I wore this foundation on one of the best days of the year. I didn’t want anything that would melt of my face all through the day or that wouldn’t suit my skin. As you all know I am an advocate for matte foundations, one of the reasons for this being the fact that my skin is extremely oily so matte just works well for me. This time around I was going for a heavenly glow, I didn’t want my skin to look to matte, I wanted that glow that comes with most satin finish foundations.

The Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin Foundation is in a glass bottle with its house colours which are Red and Gold embellishments. It offers full coverage, it covers all the blemishes on the skin. This foundation is light weight, with Vitamin E and SPF 15 which makes it extra good for the skin. The foundation is infused with climate resistant technology which allows it to last through heat humidity and moisture.

Every time I have used this foundation I have used both a primer and a setting spray and as result it has given me a whooping 12 hours. If you want fuller coverage, suffer from an oily T-zone or just don’t like to touch up your foundation, then try this long-lasting formula. It has a nice matte finish, but doesn’t feel heavy or as though it’s drying out your skin. The foundation comes with a pump which makes is super easy to use, you never have to worry about taking more than you need, one a half pumps of this will take you a long way.

Texture

For a foundation that provides a flawless med/full coverage, it felt amazingly light. It made my skin look semi-matte and felt silky smooth like velvet.

Finish

Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin Foundation provides comfortable and long-wearing satisfaction. It does not feel too heavy on the skin and it doesn’t cake up which will allow you to build it from medium to full coverage. The foundation seems to  help minimize the appearance of pores and imperfections, giving skin a smoother, more flawless look and finish. I never have to worry about my spots or scars showing (not that I worry) but if you do then this is the foundation for you.

Have you tried the Elizabeth Arden Satin Finish Foundation? What was your experience with it ?
