LITTLE BLACK DRESS

Happy Monday NKB family,

I hope you had a beautiful weekend. My weekend was really busy, between shoots and studying I didn’t have a lot of time to sit back and relax. Its been a while since I did a fashion and style post so I am really excited to chat to you about the Little Black Dress. The Little Black Dress or the LBD is in my opinion a worthy wardrobe investment. Its alluring, enduring and endlessly adaptable. You can dress the LBD up or down for a chic, effortless and classy look.

I love the see through lace sheath on my little black dress, its lady like, sophisticated, sexy and fierce.  I bought this versatile little black dress because I know i’ll be able to rock it to a cocktail party, brunch, night out with my friends or on a date. I felt like such a lady, I felt powerful, confident and down right beautiful.

I found this dress on a random window shopping adventure, it was fate, I had been looking through m wardrobe the week before and I’d realized I didn’t own a black dress!! I mean honestly, how can I even call myself a fashion blogger *hides.

When it comes to beauty and fashion trends I honestly believe you should do what suits you and what reflects your personality. A black dress works for any wardrobe and works for every personal style. Some people would say you need one Black dress in your arsenal but I believe you need at least 3. Its up to you which  you choose to have but they are endless options to choose from. From the all time favorite black body corn dress to the sexy backless dress or an elegant maxi.

On my road to fashionable I chose this princess, 50’s, full skirt lace little black dress because I love everything about it. It shapes my body just right. the length is seductive but not slutty. Its so versatile. Plus it has the added advantage that I could wear it anywhere.

I paired my dress with black ankle heals and mainly black jewelry for a minimalist, easy, effortless look and my absolute favorite MK bag (it was a gift from the BF, isn’t he just a keeper!!!:-)

      Thank you Nadia,

I bought the dress from a boutique in Grahamstown, it was such a find and the booties from Legit a couple of years ago.
