BE SMART. EAT SMART: 3 easy HEALTHY snacks you can make in a FLASH⚡️⚡️

Happy Humpday Everyone,

Hope you are all having a fantastic week. One fun fact about me is I am a picky eater, don’t get me wrong, I love food I just want it properly made, healthy but still yummy food.

Whenever you talk about eating healthy some people automatically assume its bland, yucky tasting, plain food but that’s not the case at all. Eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring or expensive. You just have to use your imagination!!!

I’m sure from my recent posts you’ve all gathered its that time of the year for me,  I am writing exams and sometimes healthy meals are usually replaced with a quick call to Geno’s Pizza. But one thing I know is  that pizza will only drain me of the much-needed brainpower I need to keep myself going! It’s important to choose foods that will help you to stay focused and productive.

Although carbs call your name when you busy protein and vitamins are wiser choice. Protein takes longer than carbohydrates to break down in the body, so it can provide long-lasting energy that will help you avoid the all-too-familiar energy crash from sugary carbs.

Everyone has food that just can’t have enough off, I snack a lot, I enjoying snacking  more than I do eating a full meal especially when I am busy, cooking just takes up so much of my time and honestly, sometimes I am just too lazy to get up and cook.

Eating well is an important part of being productive and with our busy schedules nowadays, its imperative that we keep this in mind. Sometimes we all get so busy we forget to take good care of ourselves so I have compiled 3 of my favorite snacks that are not only easy to make, they are delicious and nutritious too. They will provide your body with the nutrients you need to keep going. You can make them for work, school for your kids or have them when you waiting watching tv and chilaxing

3 of my favorite fancy schmancy snacks,

BANANA BITES

peanut butter and banana wrap

  • Banana
  • Tortilla
  • Peanut butter,

Try whole-wheat tortillas, peanut butter and bananas, wrapped up and sliced to give you that extra kick in a traditional, quick and easy to make fashion!

If you thought bananas are just for monkeys then think again.Bananas make you smarter and help with productivity by making you more alert and by giving you a punch of much needed energy as well as sustained blood sugar. Multi grain wraps are a good source of fiber and protein. Peanut butter though high in fat contains mostly monounsaturated healthy fats. Peanut butter contains fairly high quantities of dietary fiber, which helps in regulating both blood cholesterol and blood sugar levels, and is protein rich. Peanut butter also contains very important micro-nutrients such as Vitamin E, Vitamin B3 and large amounts of beneficial minerals such as iron, magnesium, potassium, copper and calcium.

APPLE SANDWICH

  • Apple
  • Peanut butter (you can use any but butter)
  • Granola (you can use nuts or raisins or have it plain)

Apple, peanut butter and granola are a match made in heaven. Delicious, nutritious and filling, the old apple with peanut butter trick is the perfect snack.. Its sweet, crunchy and just outright delicious. With healthy fats from the peanut butter and a serotonin boost courtesy of your apple, you’ll be able to power up, no matter the time of day. Intake of granola also helps to lower blood pressure, increase cognitive activity and improve skin quality. Is this snack amazing or what !!!!!

CRACKERS AND CHEESE

  • Cream cheese
  • Cucumber
  • Tomatoes
  • Gouda
  • Black pepper and spice to season

Now this is just a guilty pleasure of mine.  Crackers boost your fiber intake, especially if you choose varieties made from 100-percent whole grain flour. Foods rich in fiber make welcome additions to weight-loss diets and pared with cheese and cucumber, they are life changing.

You wont e able to stop. Cucumber will help dehydrate your body and the cheese will cover you on the protein front. Its like a cheat snack.

you can pack these in lunch box on your way to work or school. They are simple and easy to make. In under 3 mins you’ll have these snacks ready and packed. If you are trying to lose or manage your weight, these are great too, they are guilt free treats!!!!!!

I hope you find these recipes helpful and yummy too. If you try them out. Take a picture and tag me….
