Superfood Smoothie

BANANA, MANGO, PEANUT BUTTER AND COCONUT SMOOTHIE

Hey, Hey, Hey!!!

Hope you’re all doing great. Take a moment to give yourself a pat on the back for getting through the day.

As we speak I am craving a piece of chicken or a steak or chips or just anything else other than a smoothie. I am on a Detox and this evening has been particularly difficult. I am on a liquids only detox for three days and today is day 2.. I know I might be complaining and complaining isn’t the best way to encourage someone to try detoxing but i have to say I am feeling great. I can already see the difference in my skin, and my energy levels have spiked.

I have never really detoxed and gone cold turkey on solid food before so this is a very different experience for me. I am still trying to decide on whether or not, I should push the detox to five days but the week is going to get busier for me and I am not too sure if that’s recommended.

I know you’ve all read a million different articles on detoxing, there seems to be just as many negatives as they are positives which gets confusing. What I’ve taken from the research I’ve been able to do is:

Know your Body (the extra nutrients you need and what you require)

Be sure of your reasons for detoxing

Choose what works for you.

From the two days I have been on the detox I have realized I am eating better,e everything going in my body is there for nutritional benefit. I’m not over eating or snacking unnecessarily.

I am feeling lighter, I’ve got more energy, My skin is looking great and I have such a clear mind. taking on challenges is easier right now I am able to focus better and I am loving it. When you detox, you feel good, and when you feel good, good things happen. Detoxing is often used strategically to lose weight or to start a new diet plan, but really there’s no better reason than just to feel better and I am feeling great.

Okay enough blabbing from me, the reason for the above information is I made a delicious smoothie this morning and I just had to share. I was in the zone and the results were blog worthy, I have the detox to thank for the innovation.

I made a coconut, banana peanut butter and mango smoothie.

The ingredients I chose are high in vitamin E, C, A, fibre, potassium and healthy fats and considering how busy my life is going yo be for the next week or so my body needs all the help it can get.

Okay I mean it, you can finally take out your grocery notepad, hre is the Superfood Smoothie Recipe (I think I just named it, lol)

I definitely benefitted from the smoothie. The last two days were hectic and the early smoothie took me through the stressful moments of the day .I could think clearly keeping my emotions at bay. Alert in order to deliver on the tough tasks that were ahead. Full of energy too. Keep the recipes flowing.
Although I completely failed the one with barley grass. Kkkkkk old fashioned I guess.
